Pakistan introduces National Housing Policy 2026 and addresses fuel prices

The Pakistani federal government has introduced the National Housing Policy 2026, aimed at providing affordable and dignified housing for homeless and low-income citizens. During the launch in Islamabad, Federal Minister for Climate Change Dr. Mussadiq Malik stated that the policy provides a comprehensive strategy to meet residential needs while promoting sustainable urban development. The policy also emphasizes eco-friendly housing designed to withstand climate change effects.

Separately, Federal Petroleum Minister Ali Parvez Malik addressed fuel pricing, noting that international market tensions between Iran and the United States have pressured domestic prices. Malik stated that the government remains committed to protecting citizens and will provide relief as soon as global oil prices decrease. He also called for national unity to combat rising terrorism, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
