Pakistan lowers petrol price, raises diesel rate
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) issued a notification effective midnight on July 28, 2026, revising fuel prices for the next 24 hours. Petrol was reduced by Rs1 per litre to Rs334.18, while the high‑speed diesel rate was increased by Rs3.37 to Rs386.83 per litre.
The adjustment follows the government’s policy of daily price reviews based on international oil market rates, exchange‑rate movements and applicable taxes. The diesel increase is expected to raise transportation and logistics costs, potentially influencing supply‑chain expenses and inflation across Pakistan.
