Pakistan: NAB initiates investigations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has launched investigations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa following the dissolution of the PTI-led provincial government. NAB has requested asset records from former Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, as well as former ministers Fazal Hakim and Dr. Amjad Ke.

Additionally, NAB is scrutinizing the tenure of former acting Chief Minister Sohail Afridi. The bureau has requested records from the Civil and Works Department, the Revenue Department, the Registrar of DHA, and the PDA regarding developmental projects, including road construction and contract allocations. Notices have been issued to various departments to provide documentation for these inquiries.

Parallel to these financial investigations, authorities are also targeting illegal appointments and corruption involving officials during the previous administration.
