Pakistan ODI tri-series likely cancelled after Zimbabwe withdrawal

The planned One Day International (ODI) tri-series in Pakistan, featuring Zimbabwe and Ireland, is expected to be cancelled following Zimbabwe’s withdrawal due to commercial reasons.

While the triangular tournament is likely to be scrapped, Pakistan and Zimbabwe are reportedly discussing an alternative window for a future tour. Ireland is still expected to travel to Pakistan, but the engagement will likely shift to a bilateral white-ball series. Plans for a one-off Test match between Pakistan and Ireland have also become unlikely.

A spokesperson for Cricket Ireland stated that the Pakistan Cricket Board and Cricket Ireland are currently working on a revised schedule, with details to be released soon. Pakistan continues to prioritize ODI matches as part of its preparations for upcoming international tournaments.
