Pakistan passport offices to offer Saturday collection for two months

The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGIP) has announced that passport delivery counters across Pakistan will remain open every Saturday for the next two months. This temporary arrangement allows citizens to collect ready passports between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., providing flexibility for those unable to visit offices during standard weekday working hours.

Authorities have advised applicants to collect their documents promptly. Under current government policy, passports that remain uncollected for more than six months are subject to disposal.

This initiative follows previous efforts to streamline services, including the introduction of a doorstep delivery facility directed by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and the implementation of cashless payment systems at offices nationwide to reduce wait times.
