Pakistan police investigate multiple fatal domestic disputes

Multiple incidents of domestic violence involving firearms and knives have been reported in Pakistan. In Uch Sharif, a woman identified as Shumaila allegedly shot and killed her husband, Younus Chachar, during a dispute in Shams Colony. Police recovered a pistol at the scene and arrested the suspect after she reportedly hid at a neighbor’s house. A formal complaint filed by the victim’s brother alleges the killing was carried out at the behest of the woman’s brothers, who were reportedly present during the incident.

In Lahore’s Shahdara area, a 55-year-old woman named Humaniya was critically injured after being shot in the head by her husband following a domestic quarrel.
