Pakistan rejects Afghan claims of destroyed border post near Spin Boldak

Pakistan has rejected claims made by Afghanistan’s Ministry of Defence regarding a border skirmish near Spin Boldak, labeling the Afghan statements as “fake and fabricated” propaganda.

According to Pakistan’s Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Afghan Ministry of Defence falsely claimed that a Pakistani post was destroyed and that Afghan forces suffered no casualties. Pakistan asserts that instead, security forces thwarted an attempted Afghan aggression in the Gulistan sector during the night of September 24 and 25.

Pakistani officials stated that their retaliatory action resulted in significant damage to Taliban positions, reporting that at least 13 Afghan Taliban personnel were killed and several others were injured. Pakistan noted that visual evidence circulating on social media and in media reports corroborates its account of the successful defense of the border.
