Pakistan rejects report of Air Force involvement against Houthis

Pakistan's Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has rejected a report by The New York Times alleging that Pakistan Air Force (PAF) aircraft are being used in operations against Houthi forces in Yemen. The ministry labeled the report ‘fake and fabricated’ and urged international media to cease speculative reporting regarding the deployment of Pakistani military forces under the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement.

The denial follows an emergency meeting of the Makkah Defence Alliance in Riyadh, where Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye agreed to the rapid deployment of military forces and capabilities to strengthen collective deterrence. While the alliance aims to address security threats facing Saudi Arabia, Islamabad has not confirmed any specific deployment of aircraft for combat operations against the Houthis.
