Pakistan revises customs values for sanitary ware and mobile phone accessories

The Federal Board of Revenue, through the Directorate General of Customs Valuation in Karachi, issued Valuation Ruling No. 2103/2026 to update customs values for imported ceramic and porcelain sanitary ware. The new benchmark, which replaces the 2024 ruling, covers a wide range of bathroom fixtures—including toilet sets, basins, urinals, bathtubs and related items—and sets separate values for imports from China, Turkey, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Europe and the United States. The ruling was prepared after consultations with manufacturers and importers and analysis of import data from July 2025 to March 2026, using the fallback valuation method under the Customs Act.

In a related move, the Directorate issued Valuation Ruling No. 2105/2026 on July 28, fixing new customs values for 70 types of mobile phone accessories. This replaces the outdated 2024 ruling No. 1887‑1‑2024. Authorities examined 90 days of import data, conducted market inquiries and applied fallback valuation methods after standard approaches proved unsuitable. The updated values aim to reflect current international market prices and ensure accurate duty and tax assessments.
