Pakistan Secures Double Gold at GAMMA Asian MMA Championship in Kuala Lumpur

The 2nd edition of the GAMMA Asian MMA Championship 2026 took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from July 28 to August 2, featuring more than 200 athletes from 16 Asian nations.

Pakistan’s delegation won two gold medals. Muhammad Jawad Ahmed captured the Under‑16 54 kg title by defeating Kazakhstan’s Zharylkassinov Merman, while Muhammad Saqib triumphed in the Under‑18 56 kg division against Thailand’s Changpan Wachart. Their victories represent Pakistan’s first double‑gold achievement at the continental tournament and follow Saqib’s 2024 world‑championship win.

The success is being hailed as a milestone for Pakistani mixed‑martial‑arts, expected to raise the sport’s profile domestically and inspire a new generation of athletes.
