Pakistan to increase rice exports to Malaysia by 70,000 tons

Pakistan has finalized arrangements to export an additional 70,000 metric tons of rice to Malaysia. These shipments are scheduled to take place between October and December.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced the development, noting that the initiative aims to expand Pakistan’s access to the Malaysian market and support the national economy. The move is part of a broader government strategy to prioritize agricultural exports and promote export-led economic growth.

The increased export volume is expected to create new opportunities for Pakistani farmers, rice exporters, and businesses within the agricultural supply chain by increasing demand for locally produced rice.
