Pakistan vows to end terrorism originating from Afghanistan
Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Tariq Fazal Choudhry, has stated that Pakistan reserves the right to take all necessary measures if Afghan territory continues to be used for terrorism against Pakistan. Speaking to the media in Islamabad, the minister rejected allegations made by Afghan authorities against Pakistan, calling them baseless.
Choudhry noted that Pakistan has provided concrete evidence of cross-border incursions and terrorism to Afghan representatives during negotiations in Istanbul and Doha. Despite these efforts, he claimed the Afghan interim government has shown no readiness to stop these activities or eliminate safe havens for militants.
The minister emphasized that while Pakistan seeks regional peace, its armed forces remain prepared to respond to any aggression. He urged Afghanistan to fulfill its responsibilities by taking effective action against terrorist elements and preventing incursions into Pakistani territory.
