Pakistani drones sighted over Jammu & Kashmir border trigger BSF search operations

On Friday night and again on Saturday morning, security forces on the India‑Pakistan international border observed two separate drone incursions over the Samba and Kathua districts of Jammu & Kashmir. The objects were seen hovering above the villages of Taror in Samba and Bobia (Chakanaluva) in Kathua, and officials suspect they originated from Pakistan.

The Border Security Force (BSF) immediately launched extensive ground searches in both locations to determine whether any weapons, ammunition, or contraband had been dropped. While past attempts have involved smuggling of arms and narcotics via drones, the recent sweeps uncovered no suspicious material. The incidents occurred during the Amarnath pilgrimage, heightening security concerns along the border.
