Pakistani film Zinda Bhaag scheduled for US release

The Pakistani film Zinda Bhaag, which is currently performing well in domestic theaters, is set for a United States release on October 18. Producer Mazhar Zaidi noted that this marks the first time a Pakistani film has secured a US release while still playing in Pakistani theaters.

Directed by Meenu and Farjad and starring Naseeruddin Shah, the film has received critical acclaim, including four awards at the Mosaic-Misaff festival in Canada. It has also become Pakistan’s first entry for Oscar consideration in fifty years.

US distributors, including FunAsiA, expressed enthusiasm for bringing the film to American audiences during the Eid holiday. Scheduled screenings include locations in Dallas, Houston, Virginia, Los Angeles, the Bay Area, Atlanta, Chicago, New York, and New Jersey.
