Hania Aamir has faced public criticism after posting a video of herself dancing in a vehicle in Karachi. The post followed a series of somber messages from the actress addressing national tragedies in Pakistan, including the deaths of 14 newborns at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences and incidents of violence against women. Critics argued the cheerful video was insensitive to the ongoing national mourning.

Separately, influencer Alina Amir has addressed the circulation of a purported private video falsely attributed to her. Amir has denied the authenticity of the footage, stating it is an AI-generated deepfake intended to damage her reputation. The OECD’s AI Incident Monitor has documented the case as a fabricated clip, and Amir has characterized the incident as digital harassment and abuse.
