Pakistani Singer Aima Baig Announces Debut Album 'Guriya' as Tribute to Late Mother

Pakistani vocalist Aima Baig revealed that her forthcoming debut album, titled Guriya, is a personal tribute to her mother, who passed away in 2017. In interviews she described the project as an emotional journey of grief, healing and self‑discovery, saying the album reflects her own story rather than a response to public criticism.

The record will include collaborations with well‑known artists such as Atif Aslam, Asim Azhar, Qasim Hasan, Raheel and Mubashir. Baig also spoke about spending time in London, which she said helped her cope with emotional exhaustion, depression and writer’s block while working on the album. She addressed a leaked video from London, clarifying that the footage was taken during a professional shoot and not meant for public consumption.
