Pakistani trader Waqar Zaka wins global crypto competition, awarded Mercedes G‑Wagon

Waqar Zaka, a Pakistani technology entrepreneur and cryptocurrency advocate, emerged as the champion of the TradFi Competition, a real‑money multi‑asset trading tournament that attracted more than 3,000 individual participants from across the globe. Contestants traded stocks, gold, silver, commodities and cryptocurrencies on a single platform, with rankings based on overall profit, trading volume and risk management.

Zaka achieved a 74% return on his $100,000 stake, generating $74,000 profit and raising his account value to $174,000 over a 20‑day period. He outperformed a South Korean trader who placed second with a 57% return and a Chinese trader who finished third with a 35% return. As the winner, Zaka received a brand‑new 2026 Mercedes‑Benz G‑Class (G‑Wagon) in Dubai, marking the first time a Pakistani trader has topped this international event. The victory has renewed attention on Zaka’s long‑standing calls for Pakistan to adopt Bitcoin as a strategic reserve.
