Pakistan's Consul General calls for Turkish investment in Istanbul

At the ‘Global Excellence Awards’ ceremony held in Istanbul, Pakistan’s Consul General in Istanbul, Naeem, called for strengthened economic cooperation and increased investment from Turkish companies. The event was organized by the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) with participation from the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO).

Naeem highlighted that the relationship between Turkey and Pakistan is built on shared history and mutual trust. He noted that the Pakistani government is taking steps to create a business-friendly environment, including a commitment to gradually reduce corporate tax rates to remain competitive.

Specific emphasis was placed on the potential for collaboration in the textile and ready-to-wear sectors. Naeem pointed out Pakistan’s extensive production capacity, ranging from cotton production to technical textiles, home textiles, and apparel, suggesting these areas as primary opportunities for bilateral growth.
