Paks Nuclear Power Plant visit denial sparks political dispute

Energy lawyer Máté Tóth and the Hír TV news crew were denied entry to a site visit at the Paks Nuclear Power Plant. The visit was organized by Prime Minister Péter Magyar to discuss the plant's future and current challenges.

Hír TV reported that although their registration was initially accepted by Government Communication, it was later revoked due to alleged space shortages. Security personnel prevented the crew from entering, stating they were not on the authorized list.

Máté Tóth, a former presidential candidate for the Mi Hazánk party, stated he was blocked from participating in the professional consultation. He characterized the event as a political spectacle intended to exclude certain opposition figures. Following the incident, Tóth criticized the Prime Minister's presentation of the site, specifically questioning the use of military helicopters for video production and the portrayal of water levels at the site. The dispute has escalated into a public exchange on social media between the political figures involved.
