Palaú elementary school evacuated after electrical short circuit

A total of 145 students at the Cuauhtémoc Elementary School in Palaú, located in the Múzquiz municipality of Coahuila, were evacuated on Tuesday morning following an electrical short circuit. The incident involved a fallen cable belonging to the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) near the school on Zacatecas Street.

The evacuation occurred during the students' recess period after the school director requested emergency assistance. Firefighters arrived at the scene to inspect the facilities and ensure there was no risk of fire or further electrical hazards.

Civil Protection officials reported that the school community followed established safety protocols, and no students or staff members were injured during the incident. Personnel from the Federal Electricity Commission attended the site to address the electrical failure.
