Palace Theatre celebrates 100th anniversary with special events

The Palace Theatre in Columbus is celebrating its 100th anniversary this fall. Originally opened on November 8, 1926, as a 2,695-seat vaudeville house designed with the Palace of Versailles in mind, the venue has hosted a wide range of performances including concerts, comedy, Broadway shows, and opera.

To mark the centennial, CAPA has organized a series of special events. A free public celebration is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, featuring theatre tours, stage access for photos, and pop-up performances by local artists. Other scheduled festivities include a family-friendly Halloween event on October 21 and a Ray Charles tribute concert titled ‘Palace 100: The Genius of Ray Charles’ on November 14.
