Palacký University Olomouc hosts international health, safety and environment summer school

The Faculty of Science at Palacký University in Olomouc organized a five‑day Health, Safety and Environment Summer School in 2026. The program taught participants how to identify risks, prevent occupational injuries and respond to emergencies, covering fire protection, first aid, waste and chemical handling, laboratory safety and environmental protection.

Twenty‑three attendees arrived from Knowledge University and Cihan University in Iraq, Cairo University in Egypt, and from the Petroleum Engineering program at Palacký University. Coordination was led by Rebar Mahmmud of the geology department. Students also visited the Institute of Molecular and Translational Medicine at the Medical Faculty to see safety practices in biomedical research, and took part in field excursions, discussions and a certificate ceremony, alongside cultural activities such as a city tour and barbecue.
