Palacký University Olomouc promotes quantum technology research

Palacký University Olomouc has launched a summer popularization campaign to highlight the city's significant contributions to quantum technology research. The initiative aims to clarify complex concepts like quantum physics and quantum computing for the general public.

Three research facilities at the university are conducting world-class research in the field. Key areas of study include:

- The Department of Optics is working on compressing light to explore the universe and studying microscopic objects like photons and molecules. - The Joint Optics Laboratory, a collaboration with the Institute of Physics of the CAS, is testing quantum communication, cryptography, and controlled teleportation of photons. - The Department of Experimental Physics is researching environmental applications, such as water purification using quantum metal particles, and medical advancements in disease diagnosis and drug delivery.
