Palais Sommer yoga program sets new attendance record in Dresden

The Palais Sommer yoga program in Dresden has concluded its season with a record-breaking 12,138 participants. This represents a 21 percent increase from the previous year's total of 10,018 attendees.

The program was held in two locations: the Neumarkt from June 21 to July 26, which hosted 2,579 participants, and Alaunpark from July 27 to August 30, which saw 9,559 participants. During the Alaunpark sessions, approximately 70 classes including yoga, Pilates, meditation, and Biodanza were led by 40 local instructors.

A notable highlight of this year's program was the premiere of ‘Yoga Inklusiv’ on August 13. Led by trainer Thomas Schwalbe and supported by sign language interpreter Carla Vogel, the session was designed to be accessible to deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals, drawing 140 participants.
