Palandöken Economic Forum 2026 theme announced

The second Palandöken Economic Forum (PEF 2026) is scheduled to take place in Erzurum, Turkey, from December 4 to 6, 2026. The forum's central theme is “Capital Under Global Uncertainty: The New Equation of Investment.”

Organizers aim to discuss shifting global economic balances, new investment patterns, and international trade corridors. The event is expected to feature opening remarks from the President of Turkey, with planned sessions led by the Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, and the Minister of Trade, Ömer Bolat. Key topics include international trade, financing models, and regional cooperation.

In an effort to expand its international reach, organizers plan to hold follow-up sessions at the United Nations in New York. The program intends to include meetings with ambassadors from African nations, sessions involving the TOBB-Arab States League Turkey Mission, and discussions with Turkic world cooperation organizations. Local stakeholders, including the Erzurum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ETSO) and various regional universities, are supporting the initiative to increase Erzurum's visibility to foreign investors.
