Tesla stock rises above $400 amid analyst upgrades

Tesla shares have experienced a significant upward movement, breaking above the $400 mark and overcoming several technical resistance levels, including the 200-day moving average. Following a period of consolidation that saw the stock decline from late 2025 highs, recent trading has signaled a potential reversal of the previous downtrend.

Barclays analyst Dan Levy has upgraded Tesla's rating from “equal-weight” to “overweight,” raising the price target from $370 to $450. This optimism is driven by improved prospects in the core business, potential value drivers from Robotaxi developments, and speculation regarding a possible merger or closer integration with SpaceX.

Technical analysts note that while the breakout above $400 is a bullish signal, further gains must be confirmed to reach previous highs near $432 and $453. Support levels are currently identified in the $377 to $391 range.
