Palantir and Figma show divergent financial paths amid AI growth

Palantir Technologies and Figma are both leveraging artificial intelligence to drive growth, though they present distinct financial profiles. Palantir has seen significant momentum driven by its Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP), which has expanded its U.S. commercial customer base to over 650. For fiscal year 2025, Palantir reported revenue of approximately $4.5 billion, a 56.2% year-over-year increase, alongside a net income of nearly $1.6 billion and a net margin of roughly 36.3%.

In contrast, Figma reported revenue of nearly $1.1 billion for fiscal year 2025, representing 41% year-over-year growth. However, Figma reported a net loss of approximately $1.3 billion during the same period, resulting in a negative net margin of roughly 118.4%. While Figma maintains a dominant position in collaborative design tools with over 690,000 paid customers, its path to consistent profitability differs from Palantir’s accelerating scale and profitability.
