Palantir and Microsoft report strong Q2 earnings amid sector growth

Several companies reported significant financial results for the second quarter. Arq reported revenue of approximately $30 million, a 5% increase from the previous year, while its adjusted EBITDA rose 59% to $5.8 million. The company is currently prioritizing powdered activated carbon (PAC) for PFAS applications over a more capital-intensive granular activated carbon buildout.

Palantir Technologies saw a 93% year-over-year revenue surge to $1.94 billion, driven by strong demand in the U.S. commercial and government sectors. The company closed $3.4 billion in total contract value and raised its full-year revenue guidance.

Microsoft reported an 18% year-over-year increase in sales and 23% growth in earnings. Its Intelligent Cloud division, which includes Azure, saw revenue reach $39.3 billion, representing a 32% year-over-year growth rate.
