Palantir executive asserts Europe must accept US tech dependence

Louis Mosley, Palantir’s Chief Operating Officer for Europe and the UK, stated that European nations must accept a level of technological dependence on the United States in the short term. Speaking in an interview with Bloomberg, Mosley suggested that issues of sovereignty are secondary to the necessity of having functional, effective technology.

Mosley cited Palantir’s ongoing work with the Ukrainian regime and the deployment of the Maven AI system by NATO as evidence of the practical utility provided by American technology. He argued that without such connections, European defense and technology would be significantly less valuable to the continent.

These comments arrive amid shifting dynamics in Europe. While some Western European nations, such as France, have concluded domestic intelligence contracts with the company, and the UK Parliament has raised criticisms regarding its role in the healthcare system, other nations like Ukraine maintain a strong commitment to Palantir’s services.
