Palantir Technologies, a U.S. data‑analytics firm founded with early funding from the CIA’s investment arm, is aggressively extending its Gotham, Foundry and Artificial Intelligence Platform into Latin American governments and private enterprises. The company embeds its software in public‑health, education, border‑management and tax‑collection systems, creating long‑term technological dependence and allowing state agencies to fuse disparate data sets into unified intelligence models.

The expansion builds on Palantir’s historic contracts with U.S. agencies such as the FBI, ICE and the NSA, and raises concerns about mass surveillance, immigration enforcement tools and the use of AI‑driven targeting in conflict zones.
