Palau d’Anglesola to host charity weekend for brain tumor research

Palau d’Anglesola will host a solidarity weekend on September 5 and 6 titled ‘Un Somriure pel Marc’ (A Smile for Marc). The event is organized by family, friends, and neighbors to honor Marc, a local youth who passed away last summer following a battle with an ependymoma.

All funds raised during the weekend will be donated to research for ependymoma and other childhood brain tumors at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona. The program includes various activities such as a blitz chess tournament, a solidarity walk, a popular dinner, a concert by Los Ruideras, and a charity football tournament.

Additional activities for the weekend include children's workshops, puppet shows, and educational sessions led by pediatric neuro-oncologist Marina Caballero and psychologist Daniel Toro.
