Palazzo Albergati hosts Carmen Thyssen art exhibition

Palazzo Albergati in Bologna will host the exhibition ‘From Gaudí to Picasso: Masterpieces from the Carmen Thyssen Collection’ from 9 October 2026 to 29 March 2027. Curated by Jordi Falgàs and organized by Arthemisia, the exhibition features over 100 works that explore the role of Barcelona in the emergence of modern art.

The collection includes prominent figures such as Antoni Gaudí, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, and Joan Miró, alongside artists like Santiago Rusiñol, Joaquim Mir, and Julio González. The exhibition aims to show how different artistic approaches developed within a shared cultural setting, connecting architecture, painting, and formal experimentation.

This event coincides with the centenary of Gaudí’s death and serves as a preview of works intended for the future Museu Carmen Thyssen Barcelona. It offers visitors the opportunity to see both world-renowned masters and less frequently exhibited figures in a single itinerary.
