Palazzo Ducale to host Etruscan and ancient Veneti exhibition

The Musei Civici di Venezia will host an international exhibition at Palazzo Ducale from March 6 to September 29, 2026. The project explores the relationship between the Etruscan civilization and the ancient Veneti, focusing on the central role of water as a sacred element and a means of communication.

Visitors can view various artifacts, including finely crafted votive bronzes dedicated to river and lagoon deities, as well as ceramics and jewelry that demonstrate historical trade and cultural exchanges. The exhibition also features reconstructions of sanctuaries where ritual and myth intersected with nature. The display provides access to the Doge’s Apartment, integrating the ancient artifacts within the historic architectural setting.
