Palazzo Reale hosts “Youth and Future” contemporary art exhibition
The “Youth and Future” exhibition is currently being hosted at the Sala delle Cariatidi in Palazzo Reale, Milan, with free admission available until November 1, 2026. Promoted by the Municipality of Milan and produced by Palazzo Reale in collaboration with Youth and Future – Parola ai Giovani APS, the project was conceived by artist Giovanni Caccamo.
The exhibition originated from a contest involving thousands of young people from diverse backgrounds, including universities, detention centers, and reception centers. Participants were asked to reflect on societal changes and identify words representing change. These responses were published in the volumes “Manifesto del Cambiamento” and “Manifesto for Change,” which feature a preface by Pope Francis.
The exhibition creates a dialogue between these youthful visions and works by prominent Italian and international artists. The first phase features Italian contemporary artists such as Maurizio Cattelan, Michelangelo Pistoletto, and Arnaldo Pomodoro. The second phase includes international masters like Anish Kapoor, Antony Gormley, Kiki Smith, and Giuseppe Penone.
