Political opposition groups in Palazzolo sull'Oglio—including Fratelli d'Italia, Mos Palazzolo, Alleanza Moderati Palazzolesi, and Patto per il Nord—have criticized the local administration over rising security concerns. The groups claim that the city's historic center has been negatively impacted by drug trafficking and 'baby gangs' during the summer months.

The opposition argues that the current management of the Local Police is inadequate, noting that the force was considered among the best in the Brescia province around 2010 but now lacks an effective presence. They have specifically challenged the administration's communication regarding security interventions and requested access to official documents to review police shifts and the existing agreement with Erbusco.
