Palazzolo sull'Oglio: Mother critically injured in two-car collision

A violent two-car collision occurred on the Sp 469 road in Palazzolo sull'Oglio on the evening of August 13, 2026. The accident involved a BMW and a smaller vehicle carrying a family of five.

The mother, a 33-year-old woman driving the vehicle, sustained serious injuries and was stabilized on-site before being airlifted by an emergency helicopter to the Papa Giovanni XXIII hospital in Bergamo, where she remains in critical condition. Her husband, 39, and their three children, aged 1, 9, and 11, were transported to the Spedali Civili in Brescia with various injuries, though their conditions are reported as not life-threatening.

The occupants of the second vehicle, a 24-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, were uninjured but were treated for shock.
