Palembang LRT employee allegedly harassed by passenger

A man, identified by the initials MN (25), was detained by security at the Ampera Integrated LRT Station in Palembang following allegations of sexual harassment against a female ticket counter employee.

The victim, identified as BR (25), reported that the incident occurred on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, around 11:00 AM. According to the victim, after receiving her ticket, the man made inappropriate verbal comments and stared at her in an uncomfortable manner. The victim alleged that the man offered her 150,000 Rupiah to show her thighs.

MN was subsequently taken to the Polrestabes Palembang Police Station to face legal accountability for his actions.
