Palencia Local Police to deploy electric armored BMW vehicles

The Palencia Local Police are upgrading their fleet with four new electric BMW iX1 SDrive20 vehicles. The contract, awarded to AT Capital, S. L. for approximately 330,823 euros, involves a renting agreement that will see the new units in service within 60 days.

These vehicles feature ballistic protection on the front doors, meeting BR4 protection levels capable of stopping .44 Remington Magnum rounds. The choice of BMW was driven by the manufacturer's ability to produce emergency-ready vehicles directly from the factory with integrated armoring capabilities.
