Palermo authorities dismantle organized prostitution ring in Lascari
Authorities in Sicily have dismantled a prostitution ring operating out of an apartment in Lascari. A couple from Cefalù, aged 56 and 52, faces charges of aiding and exploiting prostitution. The man has been placed under house arrest with an electronic bracelet, while the woman is under a mandatory police reporting requirement. Two adult children of the couple are also under investigation.
Investigations conducted by the Carabinieri between November 2025 and May 2026 revealed a highly organized operation. At least 11 women, primarily of Colombian origin with legal residency in Italy, worked at the location. The ring managed a high volume of business, serving over 300 clients during a seven-month period.
The organizers provided logistical support to the women, including transportation, groceries, and phone credit, in exchange for weekly payments ranging from 500 to 700 euros. The court has ordered the preventive seizure of the property used for the activity.
