Palermo FC continues pre‑season camp in Val Gardena, Johnsen granted paternity leave

On the 17th day of its pre‑season retreat in Val Gardena, Palermo FC focused on tactical drills, defensive compactness and possession games ahead of a friendly against Greek side Iraklis scheduled for 29 July. Coach Filippo Inzaghi organised specific defensive groupings and six‑versus‑six match‑play sessions, while striker Hernani scored in a training scrimmage.

Forward Dennis Johnsen received club permission to return to Norway as he prepares for imminent fatherhood. He will follow an individual training program before re‑joining the squad for the upcoming Australian tour, which includes matches against Melbourne City on 9 August and Juventus on 11 August in Perth.

The camp also saw player movements such as Vasic’s loan to Südtirol and several squad members managing individual workload loads.
