Palermo hospitals host free cardiovascular screenings

In observance of World Heart Day, the ASP di Palermo organized a series of free cardiovascular check-ups and consultations across several hospitals, including Ingrassia Hospital in Palermo, Partinico Hospital, and the Cimino Hospital in Termini Imerese.

As part of the (H) Open Week initiative promoted by Fondazione Onda ETS, specialists conducted over 100 examinations. This year's focus was on cardiomyopathies, a group of diseases affecting the heart muscle that can often remain asymptomatic. The program emphasized the importance of early diagnosis and the role of genetic factors in heart health. The broader initiative involved more than 150 hospitals within the Bollino Rosa network to increase awareness of cardiovascular risk factors.
