Palermo hosts education and sustainability events at Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa

The Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa in Palermo recently hosted two significant community events focused on education and sustainability.

The Stati Generali dell'Istruzione Sicilia concluded on October 15, 2026, drawing over 4,000 participants, including teachers, administrators, families, and students. During the event, Regional Assessor Turano announced concrete measures to address classroom temperatures through the installation of air conditioning and to provide increased psychological support for students to combat mental health challenges.

Additionally, the SWAP FESTIVAL was organized by ANCoS APS Palermo to celebrate the first anniversary of the Switch project. This sustainability initiative, funded by 5x1000 social funds, promotes a circular economy through activities such as a solidarity clothing swap, a dedicated children's swap area for toys and clothes, a sustainable fashion show, and discussions on waste reduction and recycling.
