Palermo hosts digital innovation and AI workshops in Zen district
The Zen district in Palermo is hosting the second edition of “Generazioni Digitali 2026,” an initiative aimed at bridging the digital divide and reducing school dropout rates in Sicily’s most vulnerable areas. Promoted by Develhope, the non-profit event brings together schools, businesses, startups, and institutions to discuss artificial intelligence and digital citizenship.
The program includes masterclasses and workshops held at the Giovanni Falcone and Leonardo Sciascia schools, as well as the San Filippo Neri Church Theater. The Chamber of Commerce of Palermo Enna is also participating, providing a dedicated Digital Enterprise Point (PID) to assist businesses with technological transformation.
In Bagheria, the “Bagheria AI” conference was held at the Teatro Butera as part of the Digital Meet 2026 festival. The event focused on the integration of artificial intelligence within public administration and classrooms, featuring discussions on digital ethics and practical AI applications for daily tasks.
