Palermo implements quality controls for disability school transport

The Municipality of Palermo has launched a new quality control service for school transportation dedicated to students with disabilities. This initiative aims to monitor service standards and identify operational issues through direct field inspections rather than relying solely on documentation.

To complement these inspections, the administration has introduced a dedicated WhatsApp number (348 641 6961) for families. This channel allows parents to report service disruptions, delays, or other critical issues in real time, establishing a direct link between households and municipal offices. Mimma Calabrò, the Councilor for Social Activities, stated that the goal is to ensure the service meets the specific needs of students and their families by using real-world feedback to improve monitoring and intervention.
