Palermo Marina Yachting gains new Amat bus stop

A new urban bus stop for the Amat service was inaugurated on the morning of 6 August 2026 near the parking area of Palermo Marina Yachting. The stop will become operational the following day and will be served by lines 103, 104 and 107, providing a direct link between the waterfront and the city’s main thoroughfares.

The ceremony was attended by Annalisa Tardino, president of the Western Sicily Sea Port Authority; Alessandro Aricò, regional assessor for infrastructure and mobility; Maurizio Carta, municipal urban‑planning assessor; Giuseppe Mistretta, president of Amat; and Brigida Alaimo, municipal assessor for public‑owned companies. Tardino noted that “until now a direct public‑transport link was missing,” and Aricò highlighted the collaboration among the region, municipality, port authority and Amat as a boost to Palermo’s tourism.

An electronic real‑time information kiosk is slated for installation in the coming days, further enhancing intermodal connectivity and easing traffic around the port area.
