Palermo Museo Giardino Santa Rosalia project reaches new milestone

The Fondazione Sicilia has provided an update on the progress of the Museo Giardino Santa Rosalia project in Palermo. Two years after the official announcement, the project, designed by Mario Cucinella Architects (MCA), has completed several preparatory phases, including obtaining construction permits from the Municipality of Palermo and finishing targeted archaeological excavations.

The next step requires authorization from the Soprintendenza to begin construction. Once completed, the center will serve as a cultural hub for the city, housing offerings from Palazzo Branciforte and the Fondazione Sicilia. A key feature of the site will be a 1,500-square-meter hanging garden designed to promote sustainability and urban greenery.
