Palermo plans unique Santa Rosalia celebration in Sperone district

A special celebration for the patron saint Santa Rosalia is scheduled for November 9 in the Sperone district of Palermo. Organized by the Amici dei musei siciliani in collaboration with the Sperone-Pertini State Comprehensive Institute and the L’Arte di Crescere volunteer association, the event aims to symbolize rebirth and a new beginning.

Organizers are considering a unique scenic entrance where the statue of the saint may appear from above the stage. This follows previous unconventional presentations where the statue arrived from the land and the sea. Technical support for the potential aerial staging is expected from Aeroclub Palermo and Air Delta.
