Palermo players focus on Serie A promotion goals

Palermo midfielder Filippo Ranocchia has experienced a significant career resurgence since joining the club in January 2024. After a period at Empoli without goals or assists, Ranocchia has become a central figure in Palermo’s midfield under manager Filippo Inzaghi. His recent contributions include one goal and eight assists, with Inzaghi utilizing him in a two-man midfield to leverage his passing, ball progression, and ability to attack spaces.

Argentine midfielder Nahuel Estévez, who joined Palermo following a four-year stint at Parma, has also expressed his commitment to the club’s ambitions. Estévez, who has appeared in five matches under Inzaghi, stated his desire to help Palermo achieve promotion to Serie A, noting that such a goal would eventually allow him to return to Parma as an opponent in the top flight.
