Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana announces 67th season and summer concerts

The Fondazione Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana (FOSS) has announced its 67th season, featuring 28 scheduled performances at the Politeama Garibaldi theater. Spanning from October 16 to May 29, the season focuses on the theme of “connections,” aiming to bridge music with diverse people and stories.

Key highlights include Richard Strauss’s Sinfonia delle Alpi directed by Markus Stenz in October, a New Year’s Day concert directed by Christian Arming, and a special performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony in March to mark the 200th anniversary of his death. The program also includes dedicated “Family” and “Education” seasons to engage younger audiences.

Additionally, the FOSS Summer Musical season is resuming following the August break. Upcoming events include jazz-classical fusion performances by the Brio Bubbles quartet at Palazzo Abatellis and scheduled appearances at Villa Filippina and Capo d’Orlando.
