Palermo tourism grows with direct flights from Lisbon

New direct flight routes between Lisbon and Palermo have been established, offering travel options every Tuesday and Friday. This summer seasonal connection is scheduled to remain available until September 18.

Palermo, the capital of Sicily, offers various cultural and leisure experiences for travelers. Key attractions include the Mondello beach, known for its turquoise waters, and the Ballarò street market, which features local Sicilian delicacies such as arancini, panelle, and cannoli.

Historical sites include the Palazzo dei Normanni, specifically the Palatine Chapel, which is noted for its gold mosaics reflecting Arab, Byzantine, and Norman influences. Additionally, Monte Pellegrino provides panoramic views of the city.
